Heart

CARDIAC MONITORING: AST (Aspartate Aminotransferase), CPK (Creatinin Phosphokinase), LDH (Lactate Dehydrogenase, Troponin and CK-MB (Creatinin Kinase-MB). These enzymes mostly help to diagnose when an individual has had a heart attack, especially Troponin which is an excellent indicator of the condition. However, each of them individually are indicators of different conditions as well apart from the heart attack. For instance LDH helps to identify the cause and location of tissue damage in the body and to monitor its progress, CPK is indicative of muscle damage within the body, CK-MB can show whether certain clot-dissolving drugs are working and finally Troponin apart from being the best indicator for a heart attack, it can also show any heart muscle injury.
